Rules and Regulations

No assistants or trainers of the contestants will be allowed in the dressing area or backstage.

The contestant will not slander or libel other contestants, judges or anyone else involved with the Bride-of-the-World Grand Finale. Defamatory verbal and/or written remarks (including, but not limited to those on any internet message boards or sites) against the pageant and any of its licensees will result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of any and all prizes and awards won, and face legal charges.

By participating in the pageant, the contestant would have irrevocably granted the organisers and/or sponsors of the pageant, the free and unequivocal rights to use her name, photography, voice etc, relating to the pageant, its title or any such connection between the contestant and the pageant or title, in any way the organisers and/or sponsors deem fit for advertising and/or sales promotion purposes, providing such use is not in any manner to cause harm to the contestant’s name, character or reputation. Such agreement will continue in a similar manner for further material issued resulting in the participation in the pageant or during the year of her reign if she wins the title. 

The contestant will further agree that from the date of entry until 14 (fourteen) days after the final pageant or a period of 6 (six) months after her reign ends as the title holder, she will not, without prior written consent of the organisers, make any statement to the media, either directly or indirectly, nor write any stories whatsoever pertaining to the competition or/from involving its name.

All parts of the application package must be duly completed and returned to the organisers of the Bride Of The World.

Any contestant who does not abide by the instructions, terms and condition of entry, rules and regulations of the pageant; is liable to be disqualified at any time by the organisers and/or judges without any further notice. If the contestant is disqualified, she will forfeit her entry fee, if any, and all benefits she received as a result of her participation in the pageant. She will also be liable to the organisers for any damages suffered.
If at any time the winner is unable or unwilling to fulfil her duties and obligations, the first runner-up will assume the remainder of the winner’s reign.
