CONCEPT AND VISION

White is the universal colour of purity – a virtue that defines goodness, righteousness, morality, integrity and dignity. Where East meets West, a woman wears a resplendent white gown to proclaim her worthiness as a bride. On her wedding day, we celebrate her beauty, poise and elegance.

BRIDE OF THE WORLD pays tribute to all these and more. Our worthy winner is chosen for exhibiting these qualities.

B – BENEVOLENCE
R – RESPECT AND RESILIENCE
I – INTELLIGENCE
D – DEVOTION AND DEDICATION
E – ENDURANCE AND ENTERPRISE

BRIDE OF THE WORLD – A Singapore Pride

The BRIDE OF THE WORLD Event carries a strong emphasis on raising the standard of beauty in today’s society.  Our modern woman is defined as beautiful not by outward features alone.  A modern woman displays her charm in both form and character.

Based on our B.R.I.D.E. philosophy, our contestants should possess inner strength, intelligence and above all, strong familial characteristics.  In Singapore, our women play an integral role in contributing to our society’s well-being at home, at work and in various communities.  They help establish and maintain wholesome family values.

Uniquely, our BRIDE OF THE WORLD contest is the first to feature a full pageant without the need for a swimsuit segment or competition and we take pride in inviting women from a broad age range.

BRIDE OF THE WORLD – SINCE 1993

The inaugural BRIDE OF THE WORLD (BOW) Event was staged in support of Beijing’s bid for Sydney 2000 Olympics in 1993.  It had garnered strong support internationally through a closely knit of loyal supporters and friends and  in 2010, we brought the event back to our home ground, Singapore as a tribute and commitment towards our Nation.

The Bride Of The World Organisation and the International BOW Committee (IBC), our vehicle through which a network of institutional and/or corporate organisers collaborate in their efforts to promote common understanding on a global basis took the event, BRIDE OF THE WORLD – GRAND FINALE  to Macau (2012), Beijing (2014) and participated in the Singapore Chingay Parade and BRIDE OF THE WORLD FIESTA 2012 in Singapore.
